  2. Colored craft papers (various colors for making flowers and leaves).

  3. Scissors (sharp enough to cut plastic and paper).

  4. Glue (hot glue gun or strong adhesive for attaching components).

  5. Paints and brushes (optional, for decorating the bottle or flowers if needed).

  6. Green floral tape (to wrap stems of flowers for a natural look).

  7. Thin wires or sticks (to use as flower stems).

  8. Ruler and pencil (for measurements and markings).

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Preparing the Base from Plastic Bottles

  1. Take an empty plastic bottle and clean it thoroughly to remove any labels, dirt, or residue.

  2. Cut the top portion of the bottle using scissors or a sharp cutter to create an open vase-like structure.

    • If you want a shorter base, cut closer to the middle of the bottle.

  3. Smooth out any rough edges with sandpaper or by carefully heating them slightly with a lighter.

  4. Optional: Paint the outer surface of the bottle in your desired color or design patterns using acrylic paints.

Step 2: Making Paper Flowers

  1. Choose colored craft papers for making flowers.

  2. Draw petal shapes on the paper using a pencil—these can be oval, round, pointed, or heart-shaped depending on your flower type.

  3. Cut out multiple petals of similar size for each flower.

  4. To add dimension:

    • Slightly curl the edges of each petal using scissors or by rolling them around a pencil.

    • Fold petals gently in half lengthwise for a more realistic look.

  5. Assemble petals:

    • Start gluing petals around one end of a thin wire or stick to form layers.

    • Continue adding petals until you achieve your desired flower shape.

Step 3: Adding Flower Centers

  1. For realistic centers:

    • Roll small strips of yellow or orange paper into tight spirals to mimic pollen structures.

    • Alternatively, use beads or small pom-poms glued at the center of each flower.

Step 4: Creating Leaves

  1. Use green craft paper to draw leaf shapes in various sizes.

  2. Cut out leaves and fold them slightly along their midline for added texture.

  3. Attach leaves along the wire stem below each flower using glue.

Step 5: Wrapping Stems

  1. Wrap green floral tape around each wire stem starting from just below the flower downwards to cover exposed wire completely.

Step 6: Arranging Flowers in Guldasta

  1. Insert completed flowers into your prepared plastic bottle vase.

  2. Adjust heights by trimming stems as needed so that all flowers are visible in an aesthetically pleasing arrangement.
